As the band prepares for its first gig, Zak’s problems come to a head, as he cuts off his ties to everyone else. Can the Slayers East get him to the show on time?(Air Date: 21 December, 2006)

Episode Synopsis:
The first Black Orchid gig is threatened by Zak's odd behaviour. After dropping out of school, to the horror of Brian and Meryll, he ditches Cass and hides in his room. Cynth is forced to leave the gig to go and try and get into his room - only to find something very strange has happened, and Zak's room has become a terrifying echo of all the dark places in their slayer lives.
As she faces him, Candy, Cass and Brian deal with a protective spirit which tries to keep them out of Zak's space. When they find their way in, they each face horrible experiences reflecting the darkest thoughts and fears in the back of Zak's mind. Brian achieves insight into how he is failing Zak, Cass shrugs off a reminder of what she has left behind, but Candy finds her veneer of courage cracked by the threat of death that hangs over her. But it is Cynth, facing an angry Zak manifesting weird telekinetic powers, who helps him hold on to his mind and ultimately forces him to escape his fears and redeem himself. And, of course, get to the gig on time.
Trivia and Notes:
- Second major spotlight episode in the series, with Zak as the villain of the piece - the first time something like that has happened on Slayers East - and serving as a part-resolution to simmering issues from previous seasons. But there are signs that this story isn't over yet...
