Episode Synopsis:
Things between Brett and Candy disintegrate when he goes too far at his gallery launch. Meanwhile, Nick tips off Brian to check in on Lex - Nick thinks his father is worried. This worry is shown to be accurate when Lex receives some pushy visitors from the big city, whose shadowy boss has worked with Madsen before and seems determined to get him on the payroll again.
Called in by a panicked Nick, the team interrupt the deal as it goes down, but not before the thugs come face to face with an evil-dominant Lex. The intruders are sent packing with their pet witch, and the Slayers East are left to wonder if Lex Madsen will ever say thank you for the help he receives. But deeper difficulties are brewing - Zak is cutting off his ties with the others, Brian is doubting his effectiveness as a parent, and Candy has started to self-harm...
Trivia and Notes:
- This episode reintroduces the Madsens and the Langborn Estate, more major elements from the show's past. When last we saw Nick, he and Candy seemed to be on the verge of becoming a couple - but it appears this never happened. Judging by the significant looks that passed between them, it seems neither of them has forgotten what could have been.
- Two snakes in two episodes - is this a deliberate motif developing?
