Subject: Slayers East final Episode description for Blair I'm afraid that I am going to just plunge right in to the Slayers East final episode. I have to take some time for this, so bear with me. I'll probably forget all sorts of things. Oh, and Candy _did_ stay the Slayer, she kept the powers and the title. (The gun and the badge, as you put it.) OK, so the episode opened with Candy, Zac and Cynth at school. It was a Tuesday I think, and the next day was Cynth's birthday. Candy and Zac had planned a surprise party for Cynth on the Tuesday (big surprise, she won't be expecting it the day before her b'day, right?) so I had to casually invite her to my place that evening for dinner. After school Cynth and Candy go to visit little Evie in hospital, Candy brings a balloon for Evie and it is revealed that Evie has a heart condition and may not live very much longer. Cynth and Candy are sad. But promise to visit again, because Evie is pleased to see them, she still has her fairy queen doll. So then ther's the big surprise party and cynth very surprised. Everyone was there: Nick (sigh....) Max, family, Billy (this kid from the first season who is a complete geek)... all these kids who are our unnamed friends. Cynth got some cool presents, Allsion gave her a gorgeous old occult book of spells or some such,Zac gave her a comb/mirror set with a flick out knife built in, I think Nick gave her a plant, I forget what Max gave her, I gave her a Barbie that looked like her, wearing a pink hoodie and a Cynth size matching pink hoodie. (I had to really think about that one :)...). Then we got a call from CC, our friend from first season who moved to NY. So there was lots of shrieking and we were really truly talking to Rachael. Um, so the party wore on and the adults left and then the guests left and Cynth and I went to sleep and we were at a sleepover that we did when we were 9 or something with CC and there was a scary monster...then it was the sleepover we had in first season that Zac spied on and a vampire gatecrashed... and we were all in the dark and then we were all seperated and we heard leathery flapping like a damn R'thilliack thing... then it was Cynth's dream sequence: Cynth is in a recording studio, there is a drum kit, and a microphone. Cynth's old penpal ( I don't remember his name, but she had a crush on him) is in the control room or whatever they call the room that isn't the recording room) he tells Cynth to start, they're ready to go. For some bizarre reason Cynth begins to sing. Then she plays the drums when Morgue seems surprised that she is singing. As she is doing this Andrew and Christian come in and begin to cover the glass between Cynth and the penpal with the letters and emails that they wrote to each other, eventually completely hiding the penpal. Cynth tried to stop them but they were too fast. Then Andrew and Christian told her to come with them because she had to get ready for the fairy queen's ball. They are wearing footmen type outfits and put her in a carriage and take her to a dress maker, who happened to be Allison. Allison was also going to the ball, but made a pretty dress for Cynth. She talked all the while about how I should keep my slayer powers because it was a priveledge and because it brought prestige to everyone around me. It was good for all of us, she said. Cynth just said yes, and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked very pretty. Then the image in the mirror changed and she saw herself in the future, she was older and was in an office at the university, much like Brian's in that it was cluttered and had a shelf of occult books. I can't remember heaps of what happened, except that Cynth kind of became that Cynth and looked around her office and checked it all out. Oh, the shelf of occult books included the one that Allison gave her for her birthday earlier in the episode. Uhm, so then Cynth went back into the 'real world' of her dream and was taken in her carriage to the ball, with Andrew and Christian. Then it was Zac's dream: Right so. Zac is in the dark and then he is in a bright, sunny park, and it is a beautiful day. His puppy Rusty (you remember Rusty, right? Never mind) runs up to him to play... He looks up and sees Heather standing under the shade of a beautiful tree. I don't remember what they say, but it is very sigificant. Then Troy and Allistair (Our favourite sufferers of ADHD) bound in, dressed in silly outfits with tri-corner hats on. Troy likes to sing the tri-corner hat song. (You know, "My hat has three corners, three corners hass my hat, if it had not three corners it would not be my hat!" then you replace the word hat with a clap, and then three with a clap and then... yeah anyway) They tell Zac that he has to come to the ball, yada yada yada and take him to the tailor's. Merryl this time, she alters Zac's suit and lectures him about how Candy should give up her powers and be a normal girl and it would be better for everyone that way and it would be safe and Merryl wouldn't have to worry. We've heard all this before, right? So he's looking in the mirror and then he's does the going into the mirror thing and he's older and in a graveyard. He sees dead people.. no, I mean, he looks at the grave stones and sees the names of people he knows, including Andrew and Christian and ultimately he finds Candy's. I can't remember much else about Zac's dream, I was getting concerned abput my own one ;) So then Zac was ezcorted to the ball by Troy and Allistair, much to his chagrin. (We're your spirit guides! You have to do what we say!) So he walks up to the fairytale castle from the carriage and then it's Candy's dream: I change to first person narration now). I am running in the dark away from the noise of R'thilliac things, I slowly become aware that I am in a corridor of sorts, the walls are all books piled up very very high. I run and run and eventually find a door, I go through and see That I am in the back of a lecture theatre. Brian is at the front, but otherwise it is empty. I go down to the front row and sit down. Brian's mouth is covered by paper with writing on it. I think you knwo what Brian said to me, seeing as you wrote it, but basically I asked him what was going on, he said it's a dream, I asked what he thougt about keeping my slayer powers, blah. It was a very funny scene to play because Morgan knows he can't do your voice so just responded by telling us what was written on the board after each question. It was funny because there was so much writing in response to each question. Not to indicate that you babble, but it was really like you were there. After a bit of Q and A Brian's highschool football team ran in and Brian went with them, throwing the ball back and forth, leaving Candy all alone in the lecture theatre. I went to the door after he left and went through. I found myself in the doorway of a small, dorty old cottage. There in front of me, all dressed up in bright fairytale dresses were Solace, Lilith, Cain and Zion. Very funny looking they were, too. Suddenly a vampire leapt at me, but it was broad daylight, so it instantly dusted, leaving a pile of ash on the floor. Another vampire leapt out and dusted, and then another. Solace yelled at me, "What are you waiting for? Come in here and clean up this mess!!!" I realise about this time that I am wearing rags, I pick up a broom and begin to sweep as more vampires leap out and dust instantly. (Morgue had a fun time making vamp leaping out noises "Bleuh!" "Rarr!", etc) a knock comes at the door to the cottage, we are invited to the ball by that Bounty hunter guy who likes Ovaltine. In a silly fairytale outfit of course. He looks suitably embarrassed by this. Of course Solace says I can't go because of the constantly messing vampires, and I say "but at night, they won't instantly dust!" and Solace says "Oh, they'll find a way". So I keep sweeping and they go to the ball without me. I go over the hearth and suddenly there is a glittering and my fairy god-mother is coming, except that it is Gom. and he is creepy still, although I think he has a tiara on or something. I have a fairy-gom mother. I am disappointed by this. He tells me that I may go to the ball after all and gives me a lovely gown and a carriage. I go to the ball and arrive there at the same time as the others, we all looks great and CC is there, too and Nick. We go in and se everyone dancing, everyone we know is there and in grand outfits, Cynth and Max dance, CC and Zac dance, and I dance with Nick. I really like Nick. We are dancing and having lots of fun when Cynth recognises Evie, then we see that there is a dias with a Queen on it, so I go over and introduce myself. Actually we may have done this before we started to dance. Damn memory. Anyway the Queen is Evie's doll, but a real faerie and she know who we are and that I have to make a decision. She says that she made the dream to help me make the decision. During the dance Zac says to me that he earned a prophecy that if I kept my slayer powers, I would die, and he tried to say that I should not take my powers back, and saty alive,I got angry at him for not telling me sooner adn for believing some stupid prophecy. I don't think he ever told me where he'd heard it. So anyway, we're dancing and then notice a body on the dance floor. The music stops, everything goes dark as the clock strikes midnight and I approach the body. It is John. There is no-one else around. John and I face each other. He tells me that his death was not my fault and I realise it's true and I feel great! The words Andrew had written were sweet and pure and I nearly cried. He tells me that I know what to do, what choice is right. So I say yes, and I make my decision. Morgue tempted me to leave it at that, and not say out loud, my decision. But we had one last scene. The next day, us all saying weird dream that we all had. CC calling us up to see if we'd had the dream, everyone very happy. Zac came into my bedroom as I woke up and told me that he didn't believe in the prophecy. The End. (I have probably left out important things and gotten confused on points. It was ahigh energy game, I was adrenalised- I didn't write it all down. So there you go. Jenni |
